Practice-A-Thon
2011 for the Vallejo Symphony Orchestra
Step Up Music Vallejo is supporting a Practice-A-Thon as a fundraiser for the Vallejo Symphony Orchestra. Students will obtain sponsors who are willing to pledge certain amounts of money per hour for every hour the member practices his or her instrument for the month. Sponsors may also pledge a flat amount.
STEP 1: Please fill out the Me and My Buddy form and return to the Vallejo Symphony
STEP 2: Ask your family and friends to sponsor you, filling in the pledge sheet
STEP 3: Keep a record of how much you practice. Practice time, private lesson time and time in your school orchestra counts as well! If you play another instrument, that practice time counts too. Keep in contact with your buddy by e-mail or phone during the week to encourage each other to practice.
STEP 4: Collect money from your sponsors and send to the Vallejo Symphony.
This will hopefully be one of several fundraisers for the Vallejo Symphony by musicians for musicians! Parents-Please help and encourage your child to find sponsors and participate. Musicians- please ask for sponsors and practice.
