Vallejo Jazz Society at Step Up Music with a
remarkable concert on a remarkable date:
WHAT: Mad and Eddie Duran - perhaps the Bay Area's favorite husband-and-wife jazz team.
They will be playing in a quartet setting with David Pinto on bass and percussionist Raul Ramirez.
WHEN: 9-11-11 5:00pm to 7:30pm
We felt that sharing beautiful music with our friends and neighbors would be an appropriate way to mark the 10th anniversary of the world-changing events of 9/11.
WHO: In Mad & Eddie's 18 years of marriage & musical partnership, playing regularly in venues near their San Francisco home, the two Bay Area natives who grew up a generation apart have honed their duo approach to instrumental jazz. Playing familiar and not so familiar modern jazz standards, Latin, Brazilian, Bebop & their own compositions. Arranging them to fit an unconscious way of working together even while improvising, thus creating the Mad & Eddie "sound."
