Joseph Sanchez
born in Manati Puerto Rico. His family relocated to the United States when he was 3 years old. Joe has been involved in music since he was 5 years old.
When Joe was 15 years old he started playing electric bass guitar. This led to many stints with bands ranging from Rock, Pop, Afro-Cuban and Jazz. In 1990 Joe began to study privately with Jerry Tyler a former student of Jaco Pastorious & Linc Chamberland. Further private study continued with Lincoln Goines, John Patitucci and Master classes with Victor Wooten. Joe also studied extensively as a Private student of Matthew Garrison.
Joe has been a freelance musician for 30 years playing the National club circuits, private events, session work and teaching privately. Over the years, Joe has played across many genres of music, Jazz, Contemporary Jazz, Rock, Top 40, Afro-Cuban and Latin Jazz.
